Im running 16/18 spike boost currently, but planning on running 20/22. Still needs a little work but nothing major to be right.

haha I get that alot, I have a 2003 Legacy also and decided I liked my stock 05 rims on that better. I recently found out that the legacy rims on my car are forged lightweight Enkei rims.

9/6/07: Quick Update
My SSAC Front Mount Intercooler is in... my garage lol and I'm picking up an APS Dual Vent BOV because once the car gets tuned I will be running 22 psi. Stockers are good for around 20. So I don't really want to chance it leaking. I'm sooo excited!

I kinda did that all last year, I had gold Rota Attacks with a V limited lip but I got kinda bored with it. And every WRX / STi and their brother was going the same so I went the way I am now.

For the record, I hate myself for doing it and Im going back to it but this time with a set of gold 04 STi BBS rims, and a brand new authentic V limited lip. mine was a fiberglass replica.

update, FMIC is in along with the APS Dual Vent BOV. Just waiting on the Prodrive Boost Solenoid and a retune. Shooting for 300 whp.

Where did you get the fogs? or is it a film/cover/bulb-color?
my old fogs were the Yellow rock blocker. It was pretty cool until they started to burn from using them too much. I would reccomend the yellow PIAA H3 bulbs instead.

So, I'm going to be re-tuning my car for 20-22 psi. The main reason for the tune is because I am finally pulling my Perrin Manual Boost Controller and replacing that with a Prodrive Boost Solenoid. Boost cut is a *****... Right now my AFRs are set at 11.6 and my IDCs are at a little over 40% depending on the drive. I also know that even though I am running JDM STi Pinks (565ccs) they still peak around 70% So there is plenty of room. My question is who thinks that 22 is going to be a little high. I'm on my second trans but this one seems to run fine and I rarely run it hard enough to break again. I just want to get as close to 330 whp as possible and my tuner has the capabilities to get us there.
Oh yeah, I'm also going to be talking with Subiesport Mag about an article on budget power. A guy over on NASIOC who works for Subiesport asked how much I had invested and was shocked to hear it was less than $2,500.

sounds like an excellent plan to me, Look forward to reading about you in the MAG.. BTW have you ever concidered the HKS BCC?

Heres a couple quick shots. My camera sucks at night. Just buffed the hood and waxed the car. Overall im pretty happy with the result. Just needs the HIDs and Coilovers and ill be happy.

definitely looks like a sleeper now! I just wish you had different wheels. Something w/ less spokes would look nice and make it look like an "all show, no go" car.
Oh yeah, I super polished the end tanks on the FMIC, what do you guys think. It took a really long time.

So adding to the sleeperness I picked up a JDM STi sport exhaust midpipe and a 2004 STi muffler. At first I was a little concerned with a power loss from going 3" to 2.5" but the loss was minimal on the top end. It sounds a little raspy but its also kinda raw sounding. Hopefully when the header gets here it will smooth out the sound a little more. Also my girlfriend picked a set of DBA 4000 slotted rotors. Bad ass! Heres pix.

haha oh yeah, so appearently the STi muffler+high boost+16g= poof really loud exhaust lol. I dunno what happend. I shifted and a big puff came out and now its loud again lol. I laughed the whole way home.

At my shop we found an old old old Hurst shift knob and decided to drill it out a little and re tap it. I like it alot. Its got an old skool muscle look to it. whats everyone think. PS it makes shifting really easy. I also picked up a new sponsor. Shades of Gray window tinting. Well, it finally happend. Im not sure what kind of power levels my car is at but it was enough and my tranny decided that it couldnt take anymore. Sadly it didnt go out it a blaze of glory it just kinda pussed out lol. Thankfully tomorrow my new used stock tranny with 24k on it will be here and hopefully can be installed asap. Suck that it sets me back now.
New tranny is in. No problems so far. Went in first try with no hang ups and only took about 3 and a half hours. I got lucky, didnt even cost a grand to fix.
were you running on the stock wrx tranny or an STI tranny? sucks that it went out but damn you got one put in quick.
It was a rebuild stock tranny, 5mt. I knew it would break sooner or later but never this soon. Fortunately I can say that at this point, the tranny itself didnt fail, the front diff did. but swapping a tranny is much easier than installing a new front diff lol. Im going to also look into a new front diff to go into the old tranny when I rebuild.

Started putting the old tranny back together today. Im gonna get it as close to back together as possible and then send it to Subaru to have the pinion shaft replaced. it probably sounds a little stupid to do it this way but the gears have to come off the main shaft and I dont really want to try and put it all back on and hope it works. hopefully I can have the tranny shimmed gasketed and everything back to fatory spec with a warranty on the labor. I dont really care about the warranty but its still peice of mind that the work was done with subaru parts and will work when I need it again.
Also, the trans has been in for a week, I have about 325 miles on it and there is no leaks, no noises, and it shifts great. So I think at this point its safe to say it was a job well done.
Piked up a new set of wheels, theyre a little dinged up but nothing powdercoating cant fix.

if you truly want to be an all out stealth car, you need to raise the car back to stock height, paint the front mount black, and be done with it!
haha I want to go lower, I also would like another stock looking exhaust, this thing is louder than it looks. I love low cars.
you should go with a borla hush catback. thats what i bought for my swap. and ray nice to see you here too now. :)
Its been a while since anyone updated so heres a quick one for me.
Just put on a set of Megan Racing Track edition coilovers and dumped this beotch. Debadged my trunk and grill. Put another wrx spoiler trunk on also. Looking into another HKS SQV and Carbo Ti or High Power and GP Moto headers and calling it a day there. Heres a few pix before the debadge.

finally got my IPP race catback off, I loved it and it was awesome but I think I grew out of having a loud car.
