Update: 2:33 PM PST: If you cannot see the site on the new server and still see the message that the site is down for maintenance, please post here including whether you own a mac/pc...if you own a pc what do you get when you ping rs25 and when you run the nslookup command.

RS25.com
Update for server maintenance performed on 12/1:

Initial round of maintenance complete. The DNS has started to resolve in different parts of the country at different rates. If you still see the message that sent you here, then your ISP's DNS has not resolved. When that DNS resolves, you will have access to the forums.

In limited situations, the DNS has resovled but your computer uses the old DNS so you continue to see the old website.

To check your DNS,

In windows vista, click the windows icon, type 'cmd' in the search box, RIGHT CLICK the cmd program, select "run as administrator, when the command prompt appears then type 'ping RS25.com.'

In windows xp, click Start, click Run, type cmd, and then press ENTER. When the command prompt appears then type 'ping RS25.com'.

If the IPS address displayed is 75.125.94.2, then your DNS has updated and you should be able to see the site. To flush your DNS and renew it, type 'ipconfig /flushdns'

Type 'ping RS25.com'. If you get the above IP address, then you should now be able to see rs25.com. If you get a different IP address, then type nslookup rs25.com. If you get an IP address that ends in 130, the dns records somewhere between your machine the rs25.com have not updated so you must wait a little bit longer for those records to update.

If you continue to have problems, please email at kevin @ hspn dot com and I will try to help you. At the moment, I don't have the same instructios if you have a MAC.

That suggests to me that your DNS has not updated as of yet. If you ping rs25 and you get 75.125.94.2 for the IP, then the DNS updated. If you can't login then, please post here again or email me.

does it update on its own, and if so how long should it take. its been way more than 8 hours. is there any way for me to update it, or is it done automatically? When i type nslookup rs25.com it says:

Non-authoritative answer:
Name: rs25.com
Address: 75.125.94.2

I can get on from my house but not here at work.

When I ping rs25.com it says:
Ping statistics 75.125.68.130

nslookup says:
Non-authoritative answer:
Name: rs25.com
Address: 75.125.94.2

I am having similar issues.

At home on my laptop, everything is good.

At work, my nslookup command returns the 75.125.94.2 address while the command to ping rs25.com returns the old IP address.

Sometimes at work, it works. It is very strange. Let me know if this keeps up. In the meantime, I am looking into a fix.

If you cannot login yet, try this:

Windows users:
1. Open this file: c:\windows\system32\drivers\et c\hosts (use notepad)
2. Remove this from the file and save it:

75.125.68.130 www.rs25.com
75.125.68.130 rs25.com

3. Save the file
4. Restart your browser
