So I already know what everyones reaction is going to be (the track is hard on the car (http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?p=19059716#), I don't like Bremerton, BLAH BLAH BS BS)

BUT... North West Region of SCCA announced today that they are adding a club trials group to their race weekend September 8th and 9th.

Like I have said before these are great events for people who have run track days/drivers training before and want to bump it up a notch (without having to buy all the safety (http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?p=19059716#) gear).

Should be plenty of seat time (roughly 50 minutes per day) and all for only $130 for two days (or $100 for just one day). Way more seat time per dollar than an auto-x!

Here is the link for more information

Feel free to drop me a line for any questions.

It would be good to see a large force of Suby fans out there. I hope some of you can make.

Thanks again,
Steve

Yeah, the track does not have to be hard on the car especially if you have the right kind of tires, brakes, and get some lead removed from your foot before you go. It can actually be a great experience in car control. The SCCA events are always fun. I recommend that everyone try them at least once.

Yeah-- this is exactly my response when people talk about how hard it is on the car. Don't drive 10/10ths if you are worried about wear & tear, just go out and have fun!

i'd definitely like to do a run like this sometime...just gotta find the time, money and extra set of tires!

Money's a b$@^& ain't it! For tire there are some decent used race tire dealers in So Carolina and Wi. I got 9 hoosier R6's for $600 shipped (to WA state). They have 3 or 4 heat cycles on them, but just for playing they are good. Roughly 80% tread depth left.

yeah, I barely pass less than that for my standard tires
